Description |
Pale green sewing machine attached to wooden rectangular base with removable cover. Embossed in silver on one side of the body, is "Princeton" and embossed on the same side in black closer to the base is "Rekken". The machine has a section of the base that features a rectangular cutout on one end, with a small block inset. Two metal screw caps are featured on one side of base.A thin rubber band is attached to the turning pin of motor and attached to the fly wheel of the machine. Tag attached to motor reads "CSA APP NO 10171....Champion..." The machine features stainless steel accessories on the side of horizontal arm and face plate. Printed in gold lettering on base of sewing machine "Hudson Bay Company Incorporated 2nd May 1670." Gold geometric designs featured on body.' Two black and brown electrical cords observed, one inset in base and the other secured to the motor component. This sewing machine was donated to the Institute of Jamaica by Mr. Owen Davis, it belonged to his grandmother and is still operational. |
