Description |
A bulbous growler shaped stoneware bottle with a flared lip and an oblong horseshoe shape embossed on the side at the base of the neck. The flared lip is covered by a round stoneware plug cap which a missing cork would have been attached to. The bottle is glazed with a cream on the mid to lower portion of the body and a burgundy glazing on the upper portion of the body, neck, lip and plug cap. Printed on side of the body: "Appleton Reserve" printed in a red stylized font, 12 year old RARE OLD JAMAICAN RUM AGED IN WOOD [LOGO] J Wray & Nephew 12 TROPICAL YEARS LTD. Distillers & Blenders Since 1825. Kingston Jamaica 4/5 Quart-86 Proof This decanter was donated to the Institute of Jamaica by Mr. Roael Cooke in 2023. |
