Description |
A hallow wooden frame covered by two stretched drum heads. Two curled metal hoops around body to keep the drum round and its sound consistent. Cord goes around body in alternating diagonals. Wooden rims (plywood) around the drum heads. Bung holes on body. Metal rods used to secure wooden rim around heads. This drum is used during the Etu dance which is performed by a small group of people in Hanover who are said to be of Yoruba (Nigeria) ancestry. |
