Description |
Blue and white mug in the loving cup style with one of the handles broken off, body has a port scene with ships in the foreground and buildings in the background, floral designs around rim and handle and a picture of ship on the inside. Printed on the base is "Ferrara Wedgwood. Etruria. England." Ferrara is a Wedgwood inspired by and named after a port in Italy and was first created in 1832. The sailing ships in the scene were copied from an engraving of Liverpool Docks, England. This mug was made in the Wedgwood Factory in Etruria, England. |
